WALK for ALS is a fun, family friendly event that occurs across the country each year in more than 78 communities and is organized by local volunteers. In 2010 the Walk generated over $2.4 million, thanks to more than 18,000 walkers and more than 165,000 donors."

Zareinu Educational Centre of Metropolitan Toronto provides individualized therapies and treatments with an adapted education rich in Jewish teachings and traditions.

"There are approximately 300,000 Canadians living with type 1diabetes (T1D). Canada has the sixth highest incidence rate of type 1 diabetes in children 14 years of age or younger in the world. Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease in which the body mistakenly attacks the beta cells that produce insulin, a hormone enabling the body to convert blood glucose to energy. It is the most severe form of diabetes, striking at any age."

"The Navy League of Canada was established in 1895 to promote an interest in Maritime Affairs generally throughout Canada.
Today, The Navy League of Canada has a presence in over 260 Canadian communities. Our youth programs benefit 15,000 young Canadians every year, and we continue to grow."

Dr. Barzilay recently donated a Dental Patient Chair and Unit to aid the efforts of Healthy Smiles for Haiti.
This organization is dedicated to providing preventive dental care & services for the people of Haiti.
On June 13, 2010, my family and I walked in support of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
The day was slightly overcast but the weather held up and we walked to raise funds for research. We had a great time and later ended up in Ontario Place. A few good hot dogs really hit the spot and we all had a great day.
On May 16th, we were proud supporters of the "Ride for the Cure" for the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation.
We were hole sponsors at a golf fundraiser held at the Freedom Oaks Golf Club for this cause and are proud to announce that the goal was reached.
