We accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)

How do you apply?

Applications start January 2024. Eligible individuals can apply:

• Online: Visit the Canada Revenue Agency application page for the CDCP.

What you should know about the CDCP

Once enrolled, the welcome package you receive from Sun Life will include the date you can start seeing an oral health provider. Appointments can only be scheduled on or after your coverage start date.

Your start date will depend on:

• when your application is received and
• when your enrollment is completed

The first group of CDCP clients will be eligible to visit an oral health provider as early as May 2024.

Important dates / benefit periods for CDCP:

For those interested in the Canadian Dental Care Plan, please see the schedule before for application dates:

• Seniors aged 87 and above: Starting December 2023
• Seniors aged 77 to 86: Starting January 2024
• Seniors aged 72 to 76: Starting February 2024
• Seniors aged 70 to 71: Starting March 2024
• Seniors aged 65 to 69: Starting May 2024
• Adults with a valid Disability Tax Credit certificate: Starting June 2024
• Children under the age of 18: Starting June 2024
• All remaining eligible Canadian residents: Starting 2025
