Please keep this checklist in mind for your next dental visit!
Before you visit our office, please review your dental coverage and dental plan if you haven't already! Dental plans define which treatments are eligible for reimbursement; this information may be useful before any treatment plans are outlined. Our office can also help you request an estimate of the amount your insurance covers for various services.
Our office accepts the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) to help ease financial barriers to accessing oral health care for eligible Canadian residents. Eligible individuals can apply online on the Canada Revenue Agency application page.
If you have had a change in your medical history, such as a new prescribed medication, a medical diagnosis, pregnancy, or changes in allergies, make sure you inform the dental assistant and the front desk. Your medical history helps us properly care for your teeth and gums without negatively affecting your overall health.
Nobody likes to forget an important question at the dentist's or doctor's office. That's why it's important to come to your appointment prepared with questions and concerns to ask your dentist or dental assistant. Having these questions written down or in your phone's notes app is a great way to make sure you don't forget to ask them all at your next dental appointment.
Whether you are a returning patient or a new one, it's a good practice to bring a photo ID, such as your driver's license, health card, or a physical copy of your insurance card, if you have one.
Please aim to be at your dentist appointment 10-15 minutes early. This will give you and the office manager extra time to process updates to insurance or medical history if needed.
By preparing in advance and working together, we can make every dental visit a positive, comfortable experience. A little planning goes a long way in helping us provide you with the best possible care while keeping your appointment efficient and stress-free. We look forward to welcoming you to our office and supporting you on your journey to a healthy, confident smile!
